Every garden
is a story –
what will yours be?

I design bespoke gardens for family homes, holiday houses and small community spaces. Gardens that look good not only in the visualisation, but work well every day – and only get better with each year.

(01) Approach

A good plan isthe cheapestgarden tool.

The most expensive mistakes in garden building aren’t made during construction, but long before – when no one sees the space as a whole. A plan brings those decisions forward, onto paper, where changing them costs nothing.

  1. [01]

    No proportion mistakes

See in advance how big the terrace will be, where the tree fits and how much lawn is left for play. Not halfway through pouring concrete.

  2. [02]

    Fewer costs later

The wrong plant in the wrong place is the most expensive garden mistake. The plan fits your soil, your light and the time you want to spend.

  3. [03]

    Clear construction

Your builder – or you yourself – can work from exact dimensions, lists and drawings. Fewer questions, less improvisation.

  4. [04]

    Market value

A well-planned garden raises the everyday and market value of your property, and you won’t need to start over in five years.

  5. [05]

    Climate-adaptive plants

Using bred cultivars that can adapt to the changed climate, above all to the extreme weather caused by global warming. Once established they make do with less water, which lowers our ecological footprint.

(02) Process

Five steps, no surprises.

  1. 1
    01 — survey

    Meeting & site survey

I visit the site and we look at the plot, the light, the soil and the existing plants. Meanwhile we talk about how you want to use the garden – on weekdays and holidays.

  2. 2
    02 — concept

    Concept

I sketch two or three directions. Together we choose one and refine it until it truly feels like yours.

  3. 3
    03 — design

    Detailed design

The drawing sheets you need are produced: planting, construction and visualisation, with material and plant lists. Everything handed over clearly, with explanations.

  4. 4
    04 — garden

    Realisation

With the finished plan any contractor can price and work precisely. If you like, I recommend reliable professionals and stay available during construction.

  5. 5
    05 — aftercare

    Maintenance tips

The finished garden doesn’t leave you on your own. If you like, I add maintenance tips: what to prune and when, how much to water, what to watch in the first years – so the garden gets better every year.

(04) Layers

How an empty plot becomes a garden.

Every plan type is another layer on the same sheet. Scroll to see how they build on each other.

    Concept plan

First we sort out the big picture: where you relax, where the kids play, where the tomatoes grow, where the path leads. Functions, zones, mood – before any plants.

(06) About

I believe a garden is good when it grows out of the habits of the people who live in it – not out of a catalogue. That’s why every design starts with getting to know you: how your mornings go, where you drink your coffee, whether there needs to be room for bikes, the dog, the big family lunch.

Hi, I’m Hanna.

As a landscape and garden engineer I keep the character of the site, climate-adaptive planting and long-term beauty in view at the same time. I want to give you a garden you’re never afraid to use.

(07) Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your answer? Just write – I’m happy to help.

(1).How much does a garden plan cost?

The design fee depends on the size of the plot, the plan types and the level of detail. After the site visit I send a precise written quote – no hidden items.

(2).How long does it take?

A concept plan typically takes 2–3 weeks; a full design package 4–8 weeks depending on scope. We fix the exact schedule in the quote.

(3).Do I need a contractor already?

No. Any contractor – or you yourself – can work from the plan. If you’d like, I’m happy to recommend reliable professionals.

(4).I only want part of the garden designed. Is that possible?

Yes. A front garden, the area around the terrace, a single border or a courtyard – I design smaller areas too.

(5).Where do you work?

With site visits in Győr and Győr-Moson-Sopron county, in Budapest and its surroundings, and around Lake Balaton. Anywhere else in Hungary through online consultation, photos and survey data.

(6).How do we get started?

Fill in the enquiry form with a few sentences about your garden, and I’ll get back to you within two working days to arrange a time.

Next step

Let’s start
with the plot.

Write a few lines about your garden – how big it is, what’s there now and what you’d like to do in it. I’ll reply within two working days and we’ll arrange a first site visit.
